Elon Musk ‘curious to meet’ left-wing billionaire Alex Soros to ‘understand his intentions’

Elon Musk wants to sit down with Democratic megadonor Alex Soros to “understand his intentions” – despite comparing his father George Soros to a comic book villain.

The Tesla boss, who has become a key member of President-elect Donald Trump’s inner circle, said he was “curious to meet” with Alex Soros – whose Open Society Foundations have funded progressives across the place.

Soros, 39, had posted a message on Musk’s social media platform X in response to a left-wing journalist who wrote in The Nation that Trump cannot claim to have a “powerful mandate” to govern by since he did not win the majority. of votes cast for president.

“It’s not a strong mandate…” Soros asserted on Tuesday, adding: “This was a close election. Not a surprise!”

Musk replied to Soros: “I would be curious to meet and better understand your intentions.”

Soros wrote back: “I often learn more from people whose views differ from my own. Open for appointments.”

In fact, Trump leads the popular vote by more than 2 million over Kamala Harris — 76,687,368 to 74,114,298, with several million ballots still to be counted — as well as easily winning the Electoral College in the Nov. 5 election.

The apparent softening among the tycoons comes after Soros just a day ago blasted Trump’s plan to nominate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. as the next Secretary of Health and Human Services, writing in X: “They are playing with fire! Americans will go broke if there is another pandemic!”

Musk, a supporter of RFK Jr., wrote “*scamdemic.”

The Post has sought comment from Musk and Alex Soros.

Soros wrote on X that he would be “open to meeting” Musk, who said he was “curious to meet and better understand your goals.”

Musk has been a frequent critic of Soros’ father, the Hungarian-born financier who made his fortune betting against the British pound during the infamous “Black Wednesday” crisis of 1992.

In May of last year, Musk compared George Soros to Magneto, an X-Men mutant who wants to dominate humans.

Musk accused George Soros of “hating humanity” while trying to “erode the very fabric of civilization.”

Alex Soros took control of his father’s philanthropic organization in 2022.

During an appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast, Musk criticized George Soros’ funding of left-wing lawyers whose policies have been blamed for rising crime in big cities.

Musk’s supporters at X urged the Tesla mogul to avoid Alex Soros. One X user wrote: “Musk and Magneto Jr. dating soon?”

Another X user asked Musk: “Don’t date the devil!”

“George would be a bridge too far. It would not be advisable to cut off a potential ally for the sins of his father,” wrote another X user.

“That being said, fruit often doesn’t leave the shade of that tree without being carried.”

Other X users applauded Musk, with one writing: “Very noble of you, Elon.”
